Case reports that present unique cases in intensive care, perioperative medicine, emergency medicine, and pain management are especially welcome. As this Journal aims to further the care of patients by reporting fundamental advances in the above mentioned clinical disciplines, preference is given to experimental investigations or clinical observations in humans, and to laboratory research of clinical relevance.,
